1.60 vs 1.67: Choosing Your Lens Index
Answer
What is lens index?
The refractive index describes how efficiently a lens bends light. A higher index bends light more, so the same prescription can be ground into a thinner, lighter lens.
Which should you choose?
For prescriptions under +/-2.00, a 1.60 index keeps lenses thin at a friendly price. From +/-2.00 to +/-4.00, 1.67 visibly reduces edge thickness. Above +/-4.00, ask us about 1.74.
All Eyeku lenses include anti-reflective and anti-scratch coatings at no extra cost.

Would love a follow-up article comparing 1.67 vs 1.74 for strong prescriptions.

Great comparison table. I switched to 1.67 for my -5.00 prescription and the edges are noticeably thinner.
